Cross-Border Referral Plan
Initial Identification and Pre-Screening
- Patient connects with Home Country Physician (HP) and asks for referral
- HP connects with Azafaros via info@azafaros.com to retrieve information regarding cross-border referral and pre-screening
Identification of Appropriate Study Site
- Azafaros and its contracted Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) identify the most appropriate study site, taking, if possible, language, travel burden and patient preference etc into account
Site Confirmation
- CRO approaches the proposed Study Site (in the other country)
- Confirmation that the Study Site will accept the patient
Confirmation and Transfer
- Study Site becomes the primary contact for the patient and HP
- CRO connects Study Site to HP
- HP contacts Study Site and transfers relevant medical information
- Referral Site connects with patient to arrange a screening visit
- Screening on Study Site for final approval of study participation
- Patient is enrolled in the study and begins participation
